Welcome to my Website!
Pomeranians are simply a joy to watch. Their inquisitive and bubbly personality warms the heart and their loving temperament nurtures the soul. They are truly one of the joys of living. That is what first drew me to the breed. That was well over 47 years ago. I strive for the breed standard as I interpret it.Finch's Pomeranians produces poms with the most soundness, best structure, and most confident attitudes that can be found. All of my puppies are home bred and hand raised in my home and in abundant yards for plenty of exercise for mind and body. I have been successful at both breeding and showing my dogs because I love the Pomeranian.
This site focuses on my champions and puppy prospects for pet, breeding or show. For the Pom enthusiast that does not desire a show or breeding prospect, pets can be purchased for less. The realistic difference in appearance might be unnoticeable to all but the experienced breeder. There isn't any difference in personality, temperament, or socialization. All Finch Poms think they are kings and queens!
So look around my site and have some fun. If you decide that you are interested in the breed and would like to know more about them check my links page for some good sources of information. When you decide to own one, and I know you will, I invite you to drop me an email message (it is best to email me; I check emails daily) or phone 515-769-2444 (I take messages off my answering machine about once or twice a week).
In A Perfect World - Every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog.
The Breeder
(If this little poem doesn't leave you crying, you've never been a breeder)
I love my little puppy; she
makes my house a home.
She is my very sweetest little friend; I never feel alone
She makes me smile; She makes me laugh; She fills my heart
with love . . .
Did some person breed her, or did she fall from above?
I've never been a
breeder, never seen life through their eyes;
I hold my little puppy and just sit and criticize.
I've never known their anguish; I've never felt their pain,
the caring of their charges, through snow or wind or rain.
The stress and trepidation when they're still not there by
morn.
The weight of responsibility for this body in my hands,
This darling little baby, who weighs but 60 grams.
Should you do that instead of this . . . or maybe that was
wrong?
Alone you fight and hope, one day, he'll grow up proud and
strong.
You pray he'll live to bring great joy to someone else's
home.
You know it's all just up to you; you'll fight this fight
alone.
two-hour feedings for this tiny guy, throughout the day and
night.
Within your heart you dread that you will surely lose this
fight,
To save this little baby, but God willing . . . you just
MIGHT.
Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four & five . . . he's still alive; your hopes soar to the
heavens.
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven.
With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,
You ask yourself, "Why do this? . . . Why suffer through this
pain?"
Yet watch the joy your puppies bring, and everything's
explained.
Think of all that they endure to fill another's need.
For when you buy your puppy, with your precious dollars part,
You only pay with money . . . while they pay with all their
heart.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to be worthy of such devotion. - Author Unknown - |
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all of the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are. Author Unknown
